Official Contest Rules
1. No purchase necessary to enter or to win.
2. The Contest is open to persons who are 18 years of age or older (excluding legal residents of New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island and where prohibited by law).
3. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
4. By entering, each contestant agrees to be bound by these Official Contest Rules. Failure to comply with the Official Contest Rules will result in ineligibility to receive the winning prize.
5. Odds of winning the Contest are dependent upon the number of entries received prior to the deadline.
6. The decisions of Quepasa Corporation are final in all matters relating to this Contest.
7. Quepasa Corporation reserves the right to disqualify any of the selected participants if that person does not meet any or all of the eligibility requirements despite any announcements or selections to the contrary.
8. The Contest winner(s) must have a current passport and are RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ANY NECESSARY VISAS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST.
9. Winner(s) will be required to furnish a current government issued form of identification and proof of all required travel documents to Quepasa Corporation before their trip will be booked. Failure to do so within 5 days of being notified of winning will result in the forfeit of the Contest prize.
10. Contestants must register on www.quepasa.com in order to be eligible for the Contest and provide a valid email address. Contestants that are registered with an invalid email address will not be eligible for the winning prize.
11. The Contest will begin at 12p PST on Thursday, May 15th, 2010. At that time, contestants will start accruing Points.
12. The contestants will stop accruing points at 11:59p PST on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010.
13. Points Accrual – Points can be accrued in 2 ways:
a. The contestant will accrue 5 points each time they send a gift from the Playboy Mexico virtual store using QDollars.
b. The contestant will accrue 1 point each time they send a gift from the Playboy Mexico virtual store using QPoints.
14. At 11:59pm PST on September 15th, 2010, all contestants that have accrued 50 points or more during the contest period will be considered Finalists.
15. Starting at 12:01am PST on September 16th, 2010, the Finalist who sends the 25th gift that day will be the Contest winner.
16. Prize - One trip for two (2) people to Los Angeles, California, USA over Halloween weekend (October 30th, 2010).
a. 2 round trip plane tickets to Los Angeles, California
b. 1 hotel room for 2 nights
c. 2 tickets to the Playboy Mansion Halloween Party
d. Round-trip transportation from the airport to the hotel
e. $300 in spending money
f. All necessary travel documents and any other expenses incurred during the 3-day trip are the responsibility of the trip recipients.
17. Once a contestant is selected as a Contest winner, he/she will be notified via email by contest-support@quepasacorp.com and will be REQUIRED to respond to that email WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS. Failure to respond to the email will result in disqualification, and another winner will be selected from the pool of contestants. Such disqualification is at the sole discretion of Quepasa Corporation.
18. Winner/winners must sign affidavits of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release form(s) within seven (7) days after notification before any prize will be awarded. Photo ID and Social Security number verification may be required. All applicable taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Prizes are non-transferable.
19. By participating in the Contest, each contestant authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of her name and/or likeness and/or voice and/or photograph, and/or promotional and advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including, without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the Internet and picture data storage) that Quepasa Corporation may deem appropriate, unless prohibited by law.
20. Quepasa Corporation accepts no responsibility or liability in connections with any injuries, losses or damages arising from the prize(s) awarded.
21. Quepasa Corporation reserve the right to substitute any prizes of equal or greater value in the event that prize(s) are unavailable for any reason.
22. Employees, directors, officers and agents of Quepasa Corporation, or any affiliated sponsors, their respective distributors, divisions and subsidiaries, licensed retailers, and the immediate family members of the above-mentioned employees, directors, officers and agent are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
23. Quepasa Corporation reserves the right to change the contest and rules at any time. Such change will be reflected in an updated version of the Official Contest Rules at that time.
24. Quepasa Corporation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest if it becomes corrupted in any manner, or due to fraud or other occurrences beyond their control whereby the Contest cannot be conducted as originally planned.
25. Quepasa Corporation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found tampering (or attempting to tamper) with the registration process, the website or the Contest. Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage Quepasa’s website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Quepasa Corporation reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any such contestant to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
26. By participating, contestants agree to release Quepasa Corporation, and their respective subsidiaries and agents, including without limitation, their advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their respective directors, employees and officers, from any and all liability arising from or in connection with the participation in the Contest. By entering, contestants further agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Contest Rules, contestant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Quepasa Corporation in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Florida, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Florida or any other jurisdiction) which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Florida. By entering, entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in Florida.
27. For the names of the Contest winners, send a self-addressed, stamped business size #10 envelope by November 15th, 2010 to Quepasa Corporation 324 Datura Street, Suite 114, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
